“I thank my God every time I think of you (Phil ).” Who would ever forget that day June 6,1999 , Corpus Christi Sunday, The Solemnity of The Body and Blood of Christ, on a rainy afternoon in that little adoration room at the Baguio Cathedral, when we were formally baptized the name Breviarians? And up to today has been days of thanksgiving and gratitude. It is an honor to be called into the fold. To be nourished. Mentored. Guided. To lead and to be led. To bleed and to be dead. That his life may be our life. And his all our all.
Cast all doubts aside. For we are a chosen race. A community built by the Spirit to be His disciples. Brought together by common aspirations and longing. Stand your ground. Silence not your tongue just because you are young. Be not afraid. Let the Brevs be the hammer and the anvil through which God hones us to holiness and perfection. Not only for our sakes but for the sake of those who are being called to salvation. Near or far. Here or abroad. Whether the time is right or not. Ripe or raw. Hot or cold. Count out lukewarmness. It is an abomination to the Lord. God forbids he spits us out of his mouth.
“Ready”. As Abraham would answer God’s call. So must we. Amid the struggle, pain and sacrifice, the bleakness of future and seemingly loss of direction, fear not. It is not the pitch of darkness but His blinding light that we cannot see. that we keep our faith.. I therefore urge each and every brev to focus with more intensity to the theme of next year’s BigTentFest - Choose to this day whom you shall serve. And if God be God then serve him. if satan be god then serve him. As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord.

Happy 11th Anniversary mga kabibe. Na-onse tayo ni Lord. Daya. Sabi nya kamay lang hihingin Nya. Ba’t pati braso kinukuha na rin Nya. ‘Tender trap’ ika nga. Di sapat ang mga nadidiskubre natin tungkol kay God para tayo ay huminto at manghinawa sa paglilingkod at pagsisilbi. Adventure ang paghahanap natin sa Kanya. Kaya magpatuloy tayo. At magtawag pa ng iba. Sakay na! Nasa biyahe ang ganda ng Pananampalataya. Kaligtasan naman ang gantimpala.
